Flyer Distribution Policy & Procedures

The Student Activities Center provides a flyer distribution service to recognized student organizations and Iowa State University departments.

•The Iowa State University recognized organization/department who is posting the flyer must be listed on the poster as a sponsor or promoter of the event. This service is exclusive to our Iowa State University recognized organizations/departments.

•The service costs $15.00 for recognized organizations.  Payment for service must be made using the Campus Organization Accounting Office intramural. This is a three part form that is only available in the form rack across the hall from 3578 Memorial Union. 

•The service costs $25.00 for ISU departments. Payment for service must be made using the Intramural Purchase Order: The Intramural should be made out to Student Activities Center.

•If the organization is hosting an event, activities, fundraisers, etc. they will need to have been approved through the Event Authorization process through the Event Management Office in 3630 Memorial Union. The form is available online at:  /Resources/. Please note depending on the event, the event can take up to 3-15 class days for approval.

 Maximum flyer size is 11" x 17"

Once the steps above have been completed:
•Drop off 280 flyers by Monday at 5:00pm for Tuesday distribution
•The date of the event must be at least 8 days from the distribution date

Flyers are distributed in the following places:
•159 to Residence Halls
•51 to Greek Organization mailboxes
•10 in Memorial Union
•60 in 40 additional buildings on campus
